Page speed study · November 2026
On a phone, every second is a donor.
One Google study found that more than half of mobile visits are abandoned when a page takes over 3 seconds to load. Donorly giving pages load in around a second, and we've seen them as fast as 0.4 seconds.

We ran live donation pages through GTmetrix, an independent speed-testing service, on a normal connection. A Donorly donation page scored Grade A with 100% performance and was fully loaded in 1.2 seconds.
Two nonprofits' donation pages that embed forms from big-name CRMs scored Grade D and Grade C, and took 13.8 and 31.6 seconds to fully load.

How we measured
We loaded live Donorly donation and membership pages on a regular broadband connection with an empty cache, like a first-time visitor.
Ready to give means the first giving control is on screen and can be tapped: the first amount button on a donation page, or the Subscribe button on a membership page. Each page ran three times.
What we found
- On a normal connection, pages appeared in as little as 0.4 seconds and were ready to give in under a second in most runs.
- Each page loads a single frame, fewer than 50 requests and about 0.9 MB in total.
What it means
A donor who taps your link from a text message or a social post is usually on a phone and short on patience. A page that's ready in under a second is ready before they have time to think about leaving.
